Horizon Science Academy of Lorain South
Horizon Science Academy of Lorain South, a satellite campus of Horizon Science Academy of Lorain, opened in Fall 2025, serving approximately 75 students in grades PreK-4 before expanding to a K-5 school serving up to 300 students. Operated by Concept Schools, the academy will provide a welcoming, high-expectations learning environment where students, families, and educators work together to foster academic excellence, character, and lifelong success.
Our Mission
At HSA Lorain South, our mission is simple: we prepare our students for higher education and beyond by creating an effective learning environment with high standards and expectations. We meet or surpass all state requirements for curriculum, offering advanced classes as well as a supportive environment characterized by committed parents, dedicated staff, and challenged students - making HSA Lorain South the best choice for your child's academic success.

Concept Model
HSA Lorain South is managed by Concept Schools, an award-winning charter management organization that assists over 40 schools across the Midwest. Since 1999, Concept has built a reputation for providing a wide array of services for its network of schools, including its STEM-focused curricula that has put students in a position to succeed after they graduate high school. It has been around almost as long as the charter school movement and has been a great partner in helping HSA Lorain South get to the point it is at today.
